Description
The Arensus Crossword Puzzle Editor is a software for creating and editing crossword puzzles. It has algorithms for filling grids automatically. It can construct newspaper-style, free-form and swedish-style crossword puzzles. You can keep and organize your words and clues in any number of clues-databases. You have to create clues only once and use them in different crossword puzzles. Arensus has powerfull lookup-featurs for the clues-databases.It runs in Windows as well because it's plattform independent. It doesn't matter if you use Linux, Mac or Windows.
System Requirements
Your Computer has to meet some requirements for Arensus to run smoothly.
- Supported operating systems are Linux, Mac OS X, Windows ME, Windows 9x, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
- Pentium III or faster
- 30 MB harddisk-space and 128 MB RAM.
- Java JDK/JRE 1.4 or newer.
Install
Java is needed as an interface to your operating system. If you don't have Java 1.4 or newer installed you have to install it first.
Arensus Crossword Puzzle Editor is distributed as zip-file and it is provided for download from the internet.
- Download the Arensus Crossword Puzzle Editor as zip-file from http://tea.ch/
- Extract it to the final destination directory the installation directory.
- Open your Windows Explorer and change to the installation directory.
- Double-click on the file Arensus.jar to start.
Uninstall
The software does not modify any system-files on your computer. All you need to uninstall is to delete all files from the installation directory. Don't forget to save your puzzle-files first if you want to keep them.
Start
If Java 1.4 or newer is installed then double-click on the file Arensus.jar
Shutdown
Don't turn your computer off. If you have made changes to your database or crossword puzzles, you have to save your changes in order not to loose data. Exit the software with the menu File | Exit.
Licence and Register
You can download Arensus Crossword Puzzle Editor for free and test it for a period of 30 days. If you want to use it after the testing-period you have to register and get a licence. Go to the page http://tea.ch/en/teasign-products.php to register. After receiving your payments you'll get a licence-file and a link for downloading the full version.
